New Muslim prayer house to be opened in Vladivostok

The opening of a second Muslim prayer house is to be opened soon in Vladivostok, the representatives of the Muslim Religious Administration of Primorsky Krai told PrimaMedia agency.

“Despite the construction works that are carried out in the worship house, the prayer room is already opened for believers. The local Muslim community has already begun to perfrom congregational prayers here”, says the official page of the Muslim clergy on Instagram.

 

Dagestan Muslims hold Majlis at the Prophet Isa Spiritual Center

The first deputy Mufti of Dagestan Republic Abdulla Adzhimollaev took part in Majlis Shukr, an event organized for Babayurtovsky district residents, which took place on the territory of the Spiritual and educational center named after Prophet Isa (peace be upon him).

The Majlis was timed to the active participation in the construction of the Spiritual Center by people from the Babayurt district who have been working on the site for two weeks.

Mufti of Dagestan Republic Sheikh Ahmad Afandi received the deputies of the People's Assembly and public coordinators of the “My Dagestan” project last Sunday, the press office of the regional Muftiyat reports.

The delegation included deputies of the People's Assembly of Dagestan Nariman Temurkaev and Anna Bezrukova, as well as public coordinators Rukiyat Akhmedova and Muhammad Rashidov.

Russia has developed ‘first’ coronavirus vaccine

Russia for the first time in the world has developed the first vaccine offering “sustainable immunity” against the coronavirus, President Vladimir Putin announced Tuesday, August 12, during a televised video conference call with government ministers.

President Putin emphasized that the vaccine underwent the necessary tests. He added that one of his two daughters has received a shot of the vaccine and is feeling well.

Issa Khamkhoev became mufti of Ingushetia

Issa Khamkhoev is elected the head of the Spiritual Center of Muslims of Ingushetia, Interfax reports. The previous mufti, Abdurakhman Martazanov, died in April during the coronavirus pandemic.

The new mufti was selected yesterday, August 10, at the meeting of members of the Council of Ulama and imams of settlements of the republic.

According to the Charter, the elections of the mufti and qadi of Ingushetia are held every five years.

 

Muslims of Russia and Turkey developed new spheres for cooperation

Mufti of Moscow, the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia (SAMR), Albir Hazrat Krganov, met with the adviser for religious affairs of the Embassy of the Turkish Republic in the Russian Federation, Mr. Omer Faruk Savuran.

The meeting took place in the office of the “Moscow Muftiyat” on August 5.

 

Tatarstan to hold Muslim Youth Forum

The 10-th Anniversary Forum of Muslim Youth is to be held in Yelabuga from August 15 to 22. Applications to the forum are accepted until August 9 inclusively.

Hajj comes to a close as pilgrims complete rituals

Pilgrims started leaving Makkah on Sunday evening after completing this year’s exceptional Hajj pilgrimage, SaudiGazette reports. They had left earlier the tent city of Mina after completing the stoning ritual for Makkah to perform Tawaf Al-Wada (farewell circumambulation) to mark the end of the pilgrimage.
