Ramazan Djafarov meets with delegation of IIBA and investors from Turkey

Makhachkala, July 28, 2018. On July 27, the deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, Ramazan Djafarov met with the delegation of the International Islamic Business Association (IIBA) and the investors from the Turkish Republic. The delegation was headed by the President of the International Association of Islamic Business Marat Kabaev.



The parties considered prospective cooperation issues and the possible ways to implement joint projects in Dagestan.



Thus, the director general of Campak Group Abdulkadyr Turan made a presentation on the organization of waste processing in the region. Among other things, it was suggested to install underground and above-ground garbage cans. The businessmen prepared a project and schemes for the three cities of Dagestan, indicating which streets, what quantities and what types of containers to be installed. It was also noted that the employees will be provided with all social services. In turn, the representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Republic of Dagestan supported this initiative.



Commenting on the business proposal, Ramazan Djafarov noted the importance of the presented idea: "The project is quite large and envisages big amount of work: the construction of facilities for the processing and sorting garbage and the streets washing company. This is very important given the current state of situation in this region".



The representative of the International Association of Islamic Business in St. Petersburg, Artur Amakhanov, in turn, proposed to establish the sale of medical products of the company "Vito-Pool" in Dagestan. Besides, Amakhanov told the meeting participants about the company "BSS". "We are the largest suppliers of insulin and medicines for the treatment of oncology. The group of companies "BSS" is also developing a system of halal pharmacies. We have 12 large branches and 77 representative offices in Russia, more than 8,000 names of medicines" - the speaker stated.



The coordinator of the project "Pizzarotti" Alexander Bachev told about the willingness of the company to participate in the construction of transport facilities and houses in the territory of the Republic of Dagestan.

For his part, Nikolai Berkutov, the director general of the Agroindustrial Company "Rivne", proposed to set up a wholesale distribution center in Dagestan.



Summing up the event, Ramazan Djafarov instructed the profile ministries to study the issues raised during the meeting in more detail and to hold an event in the Ministry of Economic Development in the near future in order to prepare and submit proposals for consideration to the Prime Minister.
