The XII-th All-Russian Olympiad among students of Islamic educational institutions in Islamic disciplines and the Arabic language was held at the Russian Islamic Institute on December 5-6. Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil-hazrat Samigullin and his deputy on education, Rector of Russian Islamic Institute Rafik-hazrat Mukhametshin took part in the awarding ceremony.
The jury defined the winners in Islamic Law, Fundamentals of Religion, Arabic Language and Islamic Law (among madrasas). The representatives from more than 20 regions of Russia - Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Mordovia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and others participated in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad was held in the form of written test. In addition, participants in the Arabic language nomination demonstrated their skills in oral Arabic speech, and Islamic contestants demonstrated the ability to correctly and beautifully read the Koran.
This year the All-Russian Olympiad gathered 60 students. Among the winners there were students from Tatarstan. So, third-year student of Buinsky Madrasa Ilshat Khusnutdinov and student of Kazan Islamic University Rais Chastabaev took the III place in the nomination “Islamic Law”.
The winners who took first places in all nominations were given a special prize from the mufti of Tatarstan - a trip to Hajj. Among those who won the ticket to Hajj was Akhmed Isagadzhiev from the Dagestan Institute of Humanities. He was awarded a certificate from Hajj Company of Muslim Religious Administration of Tatarstan giving the right for a one trip to the Hajj under the program “Standard - All Inclusive”.
