“Kalyam Sharif”, the presentation of the translation of the meaning of the Koran in Russian language, is to be held in the capital of Dagestan on December 7, 2019, website Islam.ru reports. Translation of meanings was prepared by Muslim Religious Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan. The largest Muslim theologians, public and government figures, and the media as well are invited to meet with the authors of the work.

According to the authors of the publication, the work was prepared by the Russian domestic experts and then presented to the foreign political audience for them to draw attention to Russia and the Russian Muslim Ummah, as one of the most progressive parts of the Islamic world.

 “Kalyam Sharif. Translation of meanings of Koran” is the second translation of the meanings of the Koran made by Muslim Religious Administration of Tatarstan. The first edition was prepared in Tatar language. The book is the result of seven years of collective work of hafiz, experts on kiraats (methods of reading Koran), fiqh (Islamic law), akida (creed), and philologists with knowledge of Russian and Arabic. In preparing the publication, the authors used outstanding examples of brief interpretations (tafsirs) of the Honorable Koran of the past and present.
