The requirements to travel companies who organize Hajj trips for Russian Muslims have been tightened this year, Interfax referring to the press service of the Russian Haj Department reports.

These changes were made at a meeting, which was chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council, the Head of Hajj Commission on Religious Associations issues - Ilyas Umakhanov.

By new regulations, all hajj travel companies should join the association of Russian outbound tourism until June 1. Accreditation of travel companies at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia will only be accepted after the confirmation of their membership in the association by Russian Tourism department.

Personal responsibility, including criminal, for non-compliance with the established order falls on the head of the travel company and involves the suspension of accreditation, and, if it will be necessary, transfer of materials to law enforcement bodies. Travel Company will not be able to pass visa control without providing the necessary documents in time.

In addition, activities of travel companies will be under strict control of Muftiyats, including the duty to sign an individual contract with the pilgrim, providing of the visa documents to the embassy in time, ​​payment of contracts and checks for accommodation and transport services.

During the meeting tour operators were obliged to publish on their websites all the necessary information for the pilgrims, including the cost of permits on categories, the text of an individual contract with the pilgrim, the conditions of transportation, accommodation, etc.

In addition, until June 15, all tour operators must in written form submit list of all travel agents with whom they made agreements for the coming Hajj season.
