The annual St. Petersburg children's Quran contest opened in the Mufti Zhafyar-Hazrat Ponchaev Memorial Mosque of the city.

The contest was dedicated to the 10-th anniversary of the memorial mosque named after Mufti Zhafyar-Hazrat Ponchaev in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg and the 25-th anniversary of the Muslim Religious Administration of St. Petersburg and the North-West region of Russia.

The competition was organized by the Muslim Religious Administration of St. Petersburg and the North-West region of Russia and the administration of the Memorial mosque named after Mufti Zhafyar-Hazrat Ponchaev.

The mufti of St. Petersburg and the North-West region of Russia Ravil-Hazrat Pancheev thanked the organizers and participants who took part in the Contest, and expressed gratitude to the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg and the Islamic Culture, Science and Education Support Fund.
