Spiritual Center in Dagestan names an alley in honour of medical workers

The alley leading from the Spiritual Center of the Prophet Isa in Makhachkala to the Caspian Sea will be named after medical workers who treat patients with coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This was announced by the head of the Dagestan Republic, Vladimir Vasiliev, at the 47th session of the National Assembly of Dagestan on Thursday, June 25.

The initiative to name the alley in honour of medical workers belongs to the mufti of Dagestan, Sheikh Ahmad-afandi.

“Recently, I had a meeting and talked with our respected Dagestanis. Many of them supported this idea. But in fact it was proposed by our Mufti, Ahmad-Haji. I thank him very much. It tribute to those doctors who heroically fulfilled their duty while treating coronavirus affected, we are to name a new alley that runs to the sea from the Spiritual Center of the Prophet Isa”, said Vasiliev during a speech to the deputies.
