Russian Grand Mufti urged to help refugees from Donbass

Ufa, February 22, 2022

Chairman of the Central Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia Talgat Tadzhuddin told why the inhabitants of Bashkiria should not remain aloof from the problems of people coming from Lugansk and Donetsk, “Bashinform” reports.

“The guests came to us now. A guest is always dear, it is a gift from God and Bashkortostan is ready to receive them. They left their homes not by their own free will, and our homeland is huge and united, there is enough bread for everyone here. All the messengers of God, the prophets and all the scriptures say that we, the people, are one huge single family from Adam and Eve. With mutual respect and fraternal cooperation, whatever problems may be, they can be solved. And those problems, which are not solved now, are to be sold by our children and grandchildren, if only there was peace and tranquility.

Faith and conscience are not only inner qualities; they must be shown in deeds as well. Therefore, we all must accept our guests with mercy and compassion before God and people and help in solving their problems, in whatever way we can. Because the first who came to us from those territories are the most defenseless one - women, the elderly and children. This will be rewarded with peace and tranquility among neighbors and throughout the world. From the bottom of our hearts, we must give them care and attention. God willing, peace and tranquility will be restored in this long-suffering region in the near future,” Talgat Tadzhuddin said.

Bashkortostan is preparing to receive about two thousand residents of the Donbass republics - women, children and the elderly. They will be placed in 25 reception points throughout the republic.
