Redouble efforts to serve guests of God, Haj minister tells officials

Bandar Hajjar tours the project site for the new headquarters of the Tawafa Establishment for Arab Pilgrims in Makkah on Sunday

MAKKAH: Newly appointed Minister of Haj Bandar Hajjar Sunday visited the Makkah branch of the ministry in his first tour of the Haj establishments since he took up his position.

He was briefed about the activities of the various departments and the services they extend to the Tawafa establishments with the objective of upgrading the services being extended to the guests of God.

The minister also paid a visit to the Tawafa Establishment of Arab Pilgrims where he was received by the chairman of its board of directors, Faisal bin Muhammad bin Nuh, who said the establishment had served more than 350,000 pilgrims from 20 Arab countries in the last 25 years.

The minister also held a meeting with the board of directors which discussed issues concerning Haj.

He later toured the various sections of the establishment and its new building.

He asked the officials of the establishment to double their efforts for the service of the pilgrims from the moment of their arrival in the Kingdom until departure to their respective homes.

During the tour, Hajjar also visited the Tawafa Establishment for Non-Arab African Pilgrims and met with the chairman of its board of directors, Abdul Wahid Seifuddin.
