An exhibition complex "North Caucasus" to showcase the culture and history of each region of the Caucasus will be created at the Sochi's Krasnaya Polyana resort by 2021.
According to Head of the exhibition center Irina Guilli, a separate pavilion will be allocated for each region, while a bas-relief with portraits of national poets and excerpts from their poems will become a common element for all pavilions.
In addition to the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District, Krasnodar, Astrakhan, Rostov regions and Kalmykia will also be represented.
One of the features of the future center will be Square of Faith, where models of temples of traditional religions of the region - an Orthodox Church, a mosque, an Armenian church and a synagogue will be installed.
During the first days of the World Cup, Football Museum was opened in the same complex, and by August it is planned to open pavilion of the Russian Geographical Society with interchangeable expositions, and until the end of the year there will be center for contemporary art.
According to Guilli, the launch of all the planned pavilions will take about two years time.
