Muslims in Tatarstan prepare for Eid al-Adha

Muslim community in Tatarstan has determined the procedure for holding Eid al-Adha in 2022. Friday, July 8, was designated the day of Arafat, and Eid al-Adha on July 9. According to Muslim Religious Administration of Tatarstan on this day, festive prayers are to be held in all mosques of the republic.

In rural areas, holiday prayers are recommended to be performed 30 minutes before sunrise. In all mosques in Kazan, prayers will begin at 03:41 a.m. The faithful are invited for the morning prayer at 02:30 a.m. Next, until 03:10, there will be the recitation of the Holy Quran in the mosque.

After the holiday prayers are completed, Muslims are to begin the rituals of sacrifice in specially designated places around the mosque. In Kazan, the slaughter of sacrificial animals will continue until 20:23 p.m. on July 11 (before sunset). The amount of nisab for the sacrifice is 32 thousand rubles.
