Muslim Culture Event held in St. Petersburg

The Muslim Culture Event was held for the first time in the Northern capital of Russia – the city of St. Petersburg. The program of the unusual event included nasheeds, quizzes and speeches by the religious figures. The event was aimed at uniting Muslims of different nations.

The representatives of the Dagestan Muftiyat and guests of the city visited the solemn meeting. It was supported by the authorities of St. Petersburg as well. “We had the idea of ​​holding this holiday even before the pandemic. 2.5 years are gone, but this year we will do it anyway,” said Mufti, Chairman of Muslim Religious Administration of St. Petersburg and the North-Western Region of Russia, Sheikh Ravil-Khazrat Pancheev.

“It is important for us that this event unites Muslims belonging to different nations, on the territory of St. Petersburg. And I am very pleased that guests from other republics come to us,” said Vladimir Ivanov, Head of the Department for Relations with Religious Associations of the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg.

According to the organizers, such evenings of Muslim culture may become traditional in the future.
