Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia held a festival dedicated to the celebration of Mawlid ul-Nabi at Izmailovo Concert Hall in Moscow. For the third year in a row, Muslims and guests of the capital of different ages and professions united by faith, love and kindness, gathered at this unforgettable event.
The Mawlid festival was attended by the representatives of the authorities, the Moscow Government, imams and professional artists.
The participants were greeted on behalf of Mufti of Moscow, the head of Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Albir-Khazrat Krganov, Mufti of Dagestan Ahmad Haji Abdullayev, the Deputy Head of the Office for Religious Organizations of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow Anton Ignatenko, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow, R.K. Akhmetshin.
Within the framework of the event the head of Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia presented letters of thanks for great merits in spiritual education and strengthening of interethnic friendship to Anton Ignatenko, Alsu khanim Valitova, and Marat Haji Bagdalov.
During the Mawlid the guests from Tatarstan, Dagestan, Moscow and the state of Oman performed a large concert program. The participants were shown videos about the history and significance of the holiday. Children from Sunday school at the residence of the Moscow Muftiyat and the “Inspiration” group recited poems about the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him in different languages.
By the end of the festival the official tour operator for the organization of the Hajj and Umrah “ Ummah-Tur” awarded one of the participants a ticket to Umrah. On behalf of Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia all the young participants of Mawlid were presented memorable gifts.
