The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Interreligious Dialogue as the Basis for Peace in the Balkans” is being held in Vladikavkaz on August 28-30. The forum organizer is the Coordination Center of the Muslims of the North Caucasus with the assistance of the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education.

The head of the Republic of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, who took part in the opening, noted that today the world is undergoing a global transformation: the zones of political and economic influence are being revised, new interstate ties are emerging. Therefore, the issues that are unresolved for decades are especially relevant against the backdrop of such changes.

The Supreme Mufti of Russia, Talgat Tadzhuddin expressed the opinion that it is necessary to “put things in order” in Europe. “We need to restore order in Europe. We are afraid of the coronavirus, but we are not afraid of the Western way of life. <...>. Our professors and military leaders know how such order is established,” he stressed.

In a conversation with the RIA Novosti agency, Tadzhuddin said that representatives of Russia’s confessions, are already “putting things in order” in the Donbass and Ukraine, despite the obstacles.
