Muazzin from Dagestan is the best reader of the Quran in the North Caucasus

The Chechen Republic of Russia held an ambitious Quran-reading contest in the region. It was organized by the Muslim Religious Administration of Chechnya and the Coordination Center of the North Caucasus Muslims of the Chechen Republic in cooperation with the Regional Public Fund named after the First President of the Chechen Republic Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov, as well as the Charity Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education.

Readers of the Muslims’ Sacred Book from all over the North Caucasus gathered at Tashu-Haji Al-Indari Madrasah in the village of Nizhniy Noiber. The competition was held in two categories: Hifz - knowledge of the complete Quran by heart, and Tilyava - reading from the Quran (the whole Quran).

According to the results of the contest, one of the best readers of the Quran was recognized the muezzin of the central Juma mosque in Makhachkala, Muhammad Magomedov. He took the second place in the nomination "Tilyava - reading from the Koran (the whole Quran)." The second place was also taken by another participant from Dagestan - Gusen Rabadanov.
