The first Republican Olympiad among Islamic professional educational institutions (madrassas) of Tatarstan on Islamic disciplines and the Arabic language will be held in the Quran’s Hafiz Training Center in Kazan on November 21. The competition will be attended by over two dozen students from Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk, Kazan, Kukmor, Buinsk, Mamadyshsky and Yutazinsky districts of the republic.

The participants of the intellectual competition will have to compete in the nominations “Islamic Law”, “Basics of Religion” and “Arabic Language”. The Olympiad will be held in the form of written and oral tests for knowledge of Arabic speech and the ability to correctly and beautifully read Quran.

The winners of the Republican Olympiad will take part in the XII All-Russian Olympiad in Islamic disciplines and the Arabic language, which will also be held in Kazan in early December this year. Students of religious educational institutions of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Mordovia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and other regions of Russia will take part in it. The republican round of the Olympiad is held for the first time in order to identify and delegate the most capable and gifted Islamic students from Tatarstan to the All-Russian stage.
