Tatarstan mosques hold events dedicated to Mawlid al-Nabi – the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. During the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal all the mosques of the Mukhtasibat of the Kirov and Moscow districts of Kazan run contests on the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺand his prophetic mission, says the press office of Muslim Religious Administration of Tatarstan.
The administration of the city mosque named “Mirgaziyan” organized a quiz for children on the “Life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ”. More than thirty boys and girls from all mosques of mukhtasibat participated in it. The quiz was held by the deputy imam-mukhtasib Khabir Hazrat Khanov.
Young Muslims told interesting facts from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺand his prophetic activities. According to the organizers, Sira (biography) of the Prophet Muhhamd ﷺis a best example of patience, kindness, mercy, perseverance and other universal values. The children answered each quiz question with great interest and showed good knowledge of the life of Prophet Muhhamd ﷺ.
By the end of the event, the winners and participants received prizes and gifts. The imam of the Mirgaziyan mosque, Farit Hazrat Garipov, thanked the muhtasibat of the Kirov and Moscow districts of Kazan for holding the quiz, and the children for participating in it. He wished that such events were held more often, so that children, taking part in such quizzes, would learn more about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The event ended with a traditional tea party.
