Kabardino-Balkaria Mosques may close again

Muslim Religious Administration of Kabardino-Balkaria appealed to believers with a request to strictly observe the rules for visiting mosques. Visitors are required to wear masks, use own rugs for prayer, as well as refrain from shaking hands and maintain social distance. This was reported on the official page of the Muslim clergy in Instagram.

Recently, the Religious Administration held a meeting with the participation of the chief sanitary doctor of the Republic, Girroslan Pagov, the Head imams and imams of mosques on protection measures in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection. According to the operational headquarters of the republic, over the past day, COVID-19 was diagnosed in 88 people, in total, 9,564 cases of the disease were confirmed, 7,245 patients recovered, 130 died.

“Today our primary task is to protect and preserve human health and life. Therefore, all imams, parishioners, as well as residents of the republic need to show patience and understand the seriousness of the disease. For now, we will continue the Friday and five daily collective prayers, taking into account the observance of the rules for visiting mosques. And we earnestly ask citizens to adhere to the rules of visiting the mosque and take it deliberately, so that the places of worship can continue to function”, Muslim Religious Administration commented the situation.
