The Holy Koran Competition held in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, June 4, 2022

Muslim Religious Administration of St. Petersburg and the North-Western region of Russia together with the “House of Alimov” organized the IV St. Petersburg Competition of Koran readers at the Prayer House “Krasnoe Selo” on June 5, Islam.ru website reports.

During the opening of the Competition, the Mufti of St. Petersburg and the North-Western region of Russia, Imam-khatib of the St. Petersburg Cathedral Mosque Sheikh Ravil-Hazrat Pancheev thanked the head of the Abdulbar-efendi House and all those involved in the event, and also prayed to the Almighty for the health of all participants, parents and loved ones, for strengthening the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

The competition was attended by representatives of different nationalities and ages in the nomination of 30, 29, 27-30 Juzs of Koran and the reading of the Koran. Mufti Sheikh Ravil-Hazrat Pancheev as well noted the special importance of educating the younger generation in the spirit of Islamic traditions.

At the end of the competition the organizers held the awarding ceremony of the winners and presented them gifts.
