Grand Mosque of Makhachkala equipped with disinfection complexes

Makhachkala, May 25, 2020

The authorities of Dagestan capital proceed to hold measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection. According to the decision of the mayor of Makhachkala, Salman Dadaev, two disinfecting complexes were installed at the entrance to the Central Mosque of the capital that could help to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

This year as well, on the eve of the holy festival of Uraza Bairam, Muslims came to the mosque to pay a mandatory zakat al-fitr (payments in favor of the poor and needy citizens). Thus, the municipal authorities and Muslim religious organization of the republic took all the precautions.

The representatives of the Makhachkala volunteer corps and the Dagestan Muftiyat gave out medical masks and gloves to all fellow-believers, who then went through the disinfecting complexes and paid zakat ul-fitr. On the eve of the holiday in public places of Makhachkala there were distributed 12 thousand masks and gloves.
