The first Muslim youth film club began its work in a tent at the Zakabannaya mosque in Kazan, the mayor’s office of the capital of Tatarstan reports.
About 50 people came to the first screening. When the film was over, the participants discussed it and shared their impressions.
“The Film Club is a useful platform for communication, discussion of various topics, as well as for joint search for solutions to problems raised in films. Therefore, this initiative is popular and in demand among young people,” said Aigul Biktimirova, head of the social development department of Muslim Relihiou Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Muslim Cinema Club will continue its work until September. Sessions are scheduled for every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
