St. Petersburg, August 11, 2022

A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran together with members of the Azerbaijani diaspora in St. Petersburg visited the St. Petersburg Cathedral Mosque. The guests were told about the history of the Mosque on the banks of the Neva.

After Juma prayer, mufti Sheikh Ravil-Khazrat Pancheev received the guests at the residence of Muslim Religious Administration of St. Petersburg and the North-West Region of Russia.

The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran was attended by the representative of Seyyid Ali Khamenei in Astara, Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Nurzad, the winner of international competitions for reciting the Koran, Dr. Hussein Jafari, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora of St. Petersburg, headed by Vugar Haji Rzayev.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly environment. The parties discussed various issues of bilateral cooperation.
