"Your faith will not be perfect, until each one of you one love the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) more than yourself"- hadith

By Jamal Fulani | Assalam | 15 Jan 2013

Spiritual Administration of Dagestani Muslims announced that throughout the month of Rabiul Awwal lectures about the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will be conducted in all the mosques in the republic. The statement was made by Abdullah Haji Magomedov, Chief Editor of Avar edition of Assalam newspaper at the Majlis of Ulama held last Saturday at the central Juma mosque in Makhachkala, Dagestan.

All imams of cities and villages of Dagestan have been informed about it. The lectures will be held after the evening prayer (Maghrib).

"Your faith will not be perfect, until each one of you one love the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) more than yourself, your family and your property," – is said in a hadith. And how is it possible to love someone or something, not knowing anything about him? Let's look at the history of our pious ancestors (Salaf as-Salih). In the days of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in every house and every family there was one most important topic - the life and deeds of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). They were totally impressed by his way of life and character"- Abdullah Haji said in his speech.

Abdullah Haji stressed the importance of knowing the Sira (biography) of our Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and called Dagestani people to take it seriously and attend all lectures.

Spiritual Administration of Dagestani Muslims also recommended Qalaid al-Jawahir by Shaykh of Naqshbandi Tariqa Shu`aib Afandi al-Bagini as the reference book to learn the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Honourable Shaykh, Hafiz – Shu`aib Afandi al-Bagini was born in the Dagestani village of Bagini (presently Charodinsky district). He had extensive knowledge of Arabic language, great analytical mind, remarkable memory, high morals, great thirst for knowledge and boundless love to Allah. In 1907 he performed Hajj. The most famous of his books are: Qalaid Jawahir al-`ajamiyya, Zubdat al-Akhbar, Tabaqat Khawadjakan an-Naqshbandiyya, Takhmis Silk al-`Ain and Takhmis Noor al-`Ain.

May Allah give us strength to follow the path of the best creations Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and give us barakat of this month and save us from all evil.
