The Dagestan Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Fitr for 5 days

According to the decree signed by the head of the Dagestan Republic Vladimir Vasiliev, muslims of the region will have 5 rest days to celebrate the most important religious holiday for all muslims all over the world.

Thus the people in Dagestan will not work on June 5, 6 and 7. Including Saturday and Sunday the Dagestanis will get a total of 5 days off.

The people in the republic are very grateful to the regional authorities for this initiative, as it will create favorable conditions for people to perform all religious rituals associated with this important religious holiday.

This year the preliminary date for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr in Dagestan falls on June 5th.

It should also be noted that the head of the Dagestan Republic Vladimir Vasiliev earned respect of the people in the region by his responsive attention to the followers of all the faiths. Thus being a Christian he organized two collective iftars in the central mosque of Makhachkala.
