The Youth interfaith forum of the "Friendly Caucasus" club was held in Grozny this week. It was attended by the representatives of the Muslim clergy of the North Caucasus republics, public organizations, journalists, youth and others.
The forum was organized by the Muslim Religious Administration of the Chechen Republic in cooperation with the Coordination Center of the North Caucasus Muslims with the participation of the Charity Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education and aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations among the youth of the North Caucasus.
The program of the forum will help to create a platform for youth interaction in various areas of socially significant work, inculcate patriotism and Russian identity among the youth of the North Caucasus, promote spiritual and moral values, and the prevent the ideas of extremism and terrorism among youth.
Within the framework of the forum the winners of the contest of journalistic works among young people under the age of 35 were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts by the representatives of the Coordination Center of the North Caucasus Muslims.
The organizers say that they search for talented young people who will therefore try to form a positive image of Islam and Muslims in Russia in domestic media, and strengthen interethnic and interreligious dialogue in Russia in whole.
