All-Russian Koran recitation contest among women is to be held in Tatarstan

Muslim Religious Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan is to hold the All-Russian Koran recitation contest among women on January 25, 2020. The contest is to take place in the village of Uruss of the Yutazinsky district.

The competition is held in order to encourage Muslim women to study Islam, as well as to increase the level of knowledge of the Koran and develop further intention to learn the Holy Book by heart. The Koran contest will be held in two categories: “Knowledge by heart of 3 juz (28, 29, 30)” and “Knowledge by heart of 4 juz (27, 28, 29, 30)”. Moreover the participants are required to have knowledge of mahraj and tajvid, as well as the ability to read Koran beautifully.

Muslim women, citizens of Russia, regardless of age are to take part in the contest. The only requirement is that they should not be students of centers for memorizing the Koran and those, who know it by heart (hafiz). Each contestant allowed participatingonlyinonenomination.

The organizers of the All-Russian Koran recitation contest among women are Muslim Religious Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan, the kazyat of the Southeast of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Muhtasibat of the Yutazinsky district, and the administration of the Yutazinsky municipal region.

The winner of the contest in the category of memorization of 4 juz (27,28,29,30) of the Holy Koran will be awarded a ticket to Umrah, the remaining contestants are to be awarded with valuable prizes.
