All-Russian competition of young Islamic scholars was held in Dagestan

The All-Russian competition of young Islamic scholars and hafiz in memory of Saidbeg Daitov was held in the southern Dagestan city of Khasavyurt, Islam.ru website reports.

 The competition started on May 24, more than 270 young people from all over Russia took part in it. The participants competed in knowledge of Islamic sciences, recitation of the Quran and prayer. The seven best participants in each nomination advanced to the finals. The main prize in the “Science” and “Hifz” nominations was a car, and in the “Namaz” nomination - a cash reward.

Deputy Mufti of the Republic of Dagestan Muhammad Manguev greeted those present on behalf of the Mufti of Dagestan, Sheikh Ahmad Afandi, thanked the organizers, and stressed that such events contribute to the unification of Muslims.

“The competition was very successful. I believe that everything was organized at the highest level, especially since the number of participants is only growing every year. There is a good motivation for those who participate: the winners in all nominations receive valuable prizes,” said the rector of Saidbeg Daitov University Ahmed Abdulatipov.


In the nomination “Science” the first place and the car Volkswagen Polo was given to Akhmed Isagadzhiev, a student of the Dagestan Islamic University (DIU) named after Sheikh Muhammad-Arif, the city of Makhachkala. It worth mentioning that in the nomination “Science”, all the prizes were taken by the students of DIU.
