More than 240 thousand Muslims celebrated Eid al-Adha in Moscow this year. The Muslims prayed Eid-prayer at six places all over the Moscow including four mosques and the sites around them and two more sites outside the mosques.

Kurban-Bairam is one of the two main holidays of Islam which is celebrated on the tenth day of the 12th month of the Muslim lunar calendar and marks the end of the Hajj. The celebration traditionally begins with sermons and prayer and finishes with animal sacrifice.
