Salat ut-Tasbeeh

Source : Zawaj.com / 7 Feb 2013

Did you know there is a special salat, aside from the regular five and their nawaafil, that brings great forgiveness from Allah? It is called Salat-ut-Tasbeeh.

It is recorded in Sunan Abi Dawud and other books of hadith that Rasulullah (sallallahu `alayhi wasallam once said to his uncle Hadrat `Abbas (r.a.) :

O Abbas! O my uncle! Shall I not give you a gift? Shall I not show you something by means of which Allah Ta`ala will forgive your sins, the first and the last of them, the past and recent, the unintentional and the intentional, the small and huge, the secret and open?

Who is asking Me so that may I grant him? Who is seeking forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?"' [Sahih al-Bukhari]

Forgiveness: A Prophetic example

Source: Islamicity.com / 6 Feb 2013

The compelling conditions of our time offer human society two paths to choose from. We will either continue past enmities and stereotypes, or we will learn how to live in peaceful coexistence. It is a world of global connectedness, and in order to make peace sustainable, we need to develop new paradigms of peaceful engagement. The example of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) presents us with many such paradigms that we can adapt to our current circumstances. Like all of his predecessors did before him, the Prophet showed utmost mercy and forgiveness to everyone, so much so that even his staunch enemies sought refuge under his wings of compassion.

The Love for the Sake of Allah in the Sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Source : Rasoulallah.net / 4 Feb 2013

* (The most firm bonds of belief are: supporting others for the sake of Allah, showing enmity for the sake of Allah, loving for the sake of Allah, hating for the sake of Allah the Almighty ) (sahih aj Jame' 2539).

Love for the sake of Allah means loving others just in the way and for the cause of Allah the Almighty, not for other objectives, just like the following verse of the Holy Quran {and those who strive in our (cause),- we will certainly guide them to our paths} al-Ankabout 69. i.e. they strive in the way, for the cause and for the sake of Allah Alone.
