An odd story

By Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi an-Naqshbandi

روي أن ملكين التقيا في السماء الرابعة فقال لأحدهما صاحبه : إلى أين تقصد...الخ . ((موعظة حسنة)) ، صـ 296

Once two angels met in the forth heaven.  One asked the other: “Where are you going?” The other answered: “I am going to fulfill a strange order given to me: in one city there is a dying Jew who wants to eat a certain kind of fish. But this fish does not inhabit the river where the Jew lives. My task is to take the fish from where it lives, throw it into the river near the Jew’s house and make a fisherman fish it out so the Jew gets the fish for his meal.”

Definition of Suluk

By Shaykh Yusuf Laher / 24 Apr 2013

Suluk means to constantly keep the parts of the body and the heart occupied in the obedience of Allah Most High. This should be done in accordance with the Shari’ah and the noble Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) to such a degree that it becomes second nature and it is no more a burden to practice on the din (religion).

United by Islam - interview with Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi

You know how it happens: you are walking on the street, sunk in thought, taking no notice of the things around you, and all of sudden, as if you would wake up for an instance, you catch a phrase - a single phrase of a stranger, a single sentence out of somebody’s dialog. And it turns out to be the words that you were predestined to hear; the answer to the question that has been bothering you.

The words of a teacher are not the words of a stranger. The question asked might be of no concern of yours but the answer unexpectedly is. In this answer you will find the solution of your problem.

What is Tariqa and Shari`ah? What is the difference between them?

What is Tariqa and Shari`ah? What is the difference between them?

Taken from: Majmu`atul Fawaid by Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi.

The reason for this conversation about Tariqa was a letter of Jamal Hassanov from the village of Khindah of the Khunzakh District[1]. In his letter, he asked several questions.

Tariqas in Dagestan - by Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi

How many Tariqas are there in Daghestan and are all of them true?
By Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi ad-Daghestani

We have talked about it before that there are different kinds of Tariqas and that every kind of them have definite tasks (Wirds). It was also mentioned that every Tariqa has its Imam, like the four Mazhabs, and that not everyone has the right to teach Tariqa.

On kashf and knowledge - Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi ad-Daghestani

Speech by Murshid Kamil, honorable Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi in the Chirkey Village Jum`ah Mosque, 2004

Prophet Musa (pbuh) is spiritually much higher than prophet Khidr (pbuh). He was given a great mission. He is one of the Ulul Azmi. Khidr (pbuh) had a lower level. What is then the meaning and the use of Qur’anic ayahs about the meeting of Musa and Khidr (pbuh)? Had this story been told by an alim, it could have been called doubtful, unproven. Even if it had been in the hadith of the Prophet(pbuh), skeptics might argue that it is made up, unreliable or weak. But in our case the story of Musa and Khidr (pbuh) is told by the Almighty Allah in the Holy Qur’an. Therefore its authenticity is beyond doubt. This story points to the existence of hidden knowledge (`ilm batin), which is the basis of Tariqa.

On transliterated Quran, khatm and family matters - by Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi

Address by honorable Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi ad-Daghestani at the majlis of Ulama in Chirkey village Jum`ah mosque, Dagestan, 04 Nov 2006

Dear brothers in faith, not so long ago we went to India on ziyarat. Our guide there was a driver from Bangladesh. He spoke Russian; apparently, he had studied in Moscow. Besides, he was quite a wealthy man, because, in general, people live in poverty there.

Importance of following Shaykhs

Mawlid sermon by Shaykh Said Afanfi al-Chirkawi on the night Shaykh Muhammad al-Bukhari was born, in village Chirkey, Dagestan.

Nur ul-Islam’ newspaper published a letter by Abdulatip to his father. Abdulatip, Najmuddin Gotsinski’s brother, was a great saint. In his letter he tells his father: “Without going to the Tariqa ustaz, it is difficult to remember Allah often.” I personally saw the proof to this.
