1. “Our Lord! And grant us that which you have promised to us by Your messengers and save us from shame on the Day of Judgement. Verily You never fail to fulfill Your promise.” (3:194)

2. “Our Lord! We have sinned against ourselves, and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall most certainly be lost!” (7:23)

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَاوَ إِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْلَنَا وَ تَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

The Conditions of La ilaha illa-llah

Source : Agencies / 18 Feb 2013

There is no question that the mere saying of, "I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and messenger," is not sufficient for salvation. In fact, the hypocrites used to make this statement quite often yet Allah describes them as liars and says that they shall abide in the lowest abyss of the Hell-fire.

Accompany Your Child to the Masjid

By ISWM / 18 Feb 2013

When your child is able to perform prayer as due, or even is able to comprehend prayer before reaching the age of distinction, you should accompany him to the masjid so as to perform congregational prayers. This makes the child’s heart attached to the greatest educational institutions in the Muslim society, imbuing the child with love for the masjid. Thus, the parent should edify his child on the virtue of the congregational prayer and that it is twenty-seven times better than the prayers offered alone, and make him love the masjid by trying to please him, for example, whenever you go to the masjid; you may take a trip or go shopping before or after going to the masjid.

The Pleasures of Paradise

By M. Abdulsalam / 16 Feb 2013

The reality of Paradise is something which people will never be able to understand until they actually enter it, but God has shown us glimpses of it in the Quran.  He has described it as a place essentially different to the life of this world, both in the very nature and purpose of life, as well as the types of delights which people will enjoy therein.

The Quran tells people about Paradise, which Allah offers to them, describes its great blessings, and proclaims its beauties to everyone.  It informs people that Paradise is one of two ways of life prepared for them in the afterworld, and that every good thing will be theirs in Paradise to a degree that surpasses our present ability to imagine.  It also shows that Paradise is a place where all blessings have been created perfectly and where people will be offered everything their souls and hearts will desire, and that people will be far removed from want and need, anxiety or sadness, sorrow and regret.

Why not, after all it is the festival of love!

The Blessings of Living by the Sunnah

By AKM Mohiuddin / 13 Feb 2013

Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi  wa sallam) is a unique gift of incalculable blessings for us from Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'la). One can possess this gift and experience the blessings only by following his Sunnah, his way of life. Only through the Sunnah can one reap the full harvest of Islam. The Muslim is at his best when he lives by the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). This is exactly what is meant when Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'la) says in the Qur'an , "Verily in the Messenger of Allah you have the best example for him who looks unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much" (Al- Ahzab 33:21).
