Paradise is for Believing Men and Women

Source : Islamswomen.com / 25 Mar 2013

We often hear speakers in Friday prayer or in admonitions talking about Paradise and all of us find our hearts, minds and thoughts tuned on to that 'frequency'. However, majority of the speakers talk about Paradise as if it were a house for men only. Reality is not like that. Paradise is for the believing men and women. The only price for it is sound belief in Allah, love of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and obedience to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

It is narrated on the authority of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “All actions are judged by motives, and each person will be rewarded according to their intention.  Thus, he whose migration was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)

True Purity of the Heart

Source: Harunyahya.com / 23 Mar 2013

Purity of heart is an invalid excuse made from worldly desires; it is the way that people suppress their consciences that prevents most of them genuinely turning to Allah and that keeps them from abiding by the moral values commanded by Him.

"It is He Who rains water down from the sky. With that water, We bring out seedlings of all kinds, which We turn into dense green foliage and finally into thick clusters of grain. With that (same water) We produce date-trees and their heavy clusters of dates hanging low. We produce orchards of grapes, olives and pomegranates. They all appear similar and yet are different. Look at the trees when they bear fruit, and look at the process of its ripening. In it are indeed signs for a nation that believes! "[Quran 6:99]

By Dr. Mohammed Rateb Nabulsi / 21 Mar 2013

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The creed of Tawheed is the profound base of Islam, yet it is the core of all the Divine messages, Allah says:

(And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad) but We inspired him (saying): La ilaha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)], so worship Me (Alone and none else).)[Surat Al Anbya’a, 21:25]

O Allah, Protect Us from Ourselves

Source : Navedz.com / 20 Mar 2013

Anyone who looks around modern society will quickly notice the many blessings of technology and scientific advancement. As Muslims we recognize that these are blessings from our beloved Creator who provided us with the means to achieve peace and success.

We also see, as a result of people straying from God and His message, the ugly side of modernity.
