Two-thirds believe UAE police treat all equally

Residents believe police will treat them with respect regardless of their nationality and social standing.

About 8 in 10 (79 per cent) residents surveyed in a poll believe the police in their emirate would treat them fairly if they had dealings with them, while 66 per cent believed police treated all people equally.

The Muslim Travel Index Europe 2014, released on Wednesday, has shown that Turkey is the number one country of choice for tourists in the UAE as a future place to visit.

 

Dust storm blankets UAE

Drivers were advised to take extra care on Sunday as a major dust storm shrouded the landscape in a veil of white sand reducing visibility across the country.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) asked motorists to slow down and warned seafarers of rough waters in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

 

More mosques to be built in UAE this year

UAE makes plans to send unmanned probe to Mars by 2021

The UAE plans to set up a space agency and send the Arab world’s first mission to Mars – headed by Emiratis – by 2021.
