In Saudi Arabia, half a million expats escaped jobs in 2013

A total of 525,301 expatriate workers out of 7,243,000 escaped from their workplaces and employers in 2013, according to statistics issued by the Ministry of Labor. The ministry based the statistics on information provided by labor offices all over kingdom, al-Watan daily reported.

Traditionally, in each tarwīhah, the mustahabb break between each set of four rak’ahs of the Tarāwīh prayer, the Muslims of different regions, especially in Makkah and Madīnah, observed different acts of worship.The Muslims in Makkah used to make tawāf of the Ka’bah during each tarwīhah, whereas those in Madīnah, unable to make tawāf, would pray an additional four rak’ahs instead.

 

Tourism sector to employ 462,000

The number of jobs in the tourism sector will be boosted to more than 462,000, said Economy and Planning Minister of Saudi Arabia - Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Jasser.

The plan focuses on increasing employment opportunities for Saudis in the tourism sector.

 

Asian arrivals helping set new Umrah record

A large number of Umrah pilgrims arriving from Asian countries this week are about to set a new record.

The Ministry of Haj has indicated that more than 6 million pilgrims are likely to come for Umrah this year, up from 5.5 million last year.

The season opened on Dec. 14 last year, and will close on Aug. 22.

 

Obliterate Makkah & Madinah: US Course

A leading Muslim advocacy group called on the Department of Defense (DoD) to dismiss the instructor who taught fellow officers that only a "total war" on Islam would protect America, urging the use of "Hiroshima" tactics to obliterate Muslim holy cities of Makkah and Madina.
