Golden track in Islamic history - Kuramuhammad Haji Ramazanov

Eleven years ago, on July 26, 2007, as a result of the terrorist attack, the great contemporary scholar-theologian Alim Kuramuhammad-haji Ramazanov was martyred. According to the noble hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the death of a learned theologian is like the death of all mankind.

However, in the memory of Muslims, he will remain for long time. We ask readers to recite the surah "al-Fatiha" and share the reward to the souls of Kuramuhammad-hajji and Abdullah-hajji Ramazanov.

Sharing in a Portion for ‘Aqiqah

Source : ShafiiFiqh / 25 Sep 2014

The ‘aqiqah is sunnah. Imams Ahmad and Tirmidhi related a hadith which Hakim made tashih of on the authority of Samurah that the Prophet (sallaAllahu alayhie wa sallam) said,

الغلاممرتهنبعقيقتهتذبحعنهفياليومالسابعويحلقرأسهويسمى

“The child is bonded by its ‘aqiqah, slaughter for it on the seventh day, shave its head, and give a name.”

1.1 Order and encouragement to fast

O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you in order that you might learn piety . . . . The month of Ramadan is that wherein was revealed the Qur’an, as a guidance to mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion. So, whoever among you witnesses the month should fast.” Quran [2:183, 185]

The knowledge of self

Thou shouldest also discover why thou hast been created with these two animal instincts: whether that they should subdue and lead thee captive, or whether that thou shouldest subdue them, and, in thy upward progress, make of one thy steed and of the other thy weapon.

Secrets of the Soul

A person in whom the desire for this knowledge has disappeared is like one who has lost his appetite for healthy food, or who prefers feeding on clay to eating bread. All bodily appetites perish at death with the organs they use, but the soul dies not, and retains whatever knowledge of God it possesses; nay, increases it.

Piety of Imam Abu Hanifa

Better known as `Imam-e-`Adham' (The Greatest Imam), or by his kunyah `Abu Hanifah', Nu'man ibn Thabit was born in the city of Kufa (modern day Iraq) in the year 80 A.H (689 A.D). Born into a family of tradesmen, the Imam's family were of Persian origin as well as descending from the noble Prophet's (saw) Companion Salman al-Farsi (ra). Imam Abu Hanifah's father, Thabit, had met in Kufa Imam `Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) who made dua for him and his progeny, and some say that Abu Hanifah was a result of this dua.

The knowledge of this World

Source : Sacred-Texts / 01 May 2014

This world is a stage or market-place passed by pilgrims on their way to the next. It is here that they are to provide themselves with provisions for the way; or, to put it plainly, man acquires here, by the use of his bodily senses, some knowledge of the works of God, and, through them, of God Himself, the sight of whom will constitute his future beatitude. It is for the acquirement of this knowledge that the spirit of man has descended into this world of water and clay. As long as his senses remain with him he is said to be "in this world"; when they depart, and only his essential attributes remain, he is said to have gone to "the next world."

Taqleed and following a mazhab

Question: Did not the Four Imams command others not to follow them when there are authentic Hadith which on the face of it appears to contradict their findings?

Answer: Mufti Ahmed Sadeq Desai states:

“In substantiation of their claim they [the Salafis/modernists] present the well-known statements of the Fuqaha and Aimmah Mujtahideen of the Salaf-e-Saalihoon such as:
