Don't Seek Happiness Where It Cannot Be Found

Source : Sacred-Texts / 03 Jun 2014

Whoever will seriously contemplate the past eternity during which the world was not in existence, and the future eternity during which it will not be in existence, will see that it is essentially like a journey, in which the stages are represented by years, the leagues by months, the miles by days, and the steps by moments. What words, then, can picture the folly of the man who endeavours to make it his permanent abode, and forms plans ten years ahead regarding things he may never need, seeing that very possibly he may be under the ground in ten days!

The Love of GOD

Source : Sacred-Texts / 27 May 2014

The love of God is the highest of all topics, and is the final aim to which we have been tending hitherto. We have spoken of spiritual dangers as they hinder the love of God in a man's heart, and we have spoken of various good qualities as being the necessary preliminaries to it. Human perfection resides in this, that the love of God should conquer a man's heart and possess it wholly, and even if it does not possess it wholly it should predominate in the heart over the love of all other things.

When one faces hardships and tribulations. One should be joyous of the blessing it brings with it

Every hardship and suffering is an opportunity because it is more than what you see.

Allah the Exalted states in Surah Baqarah :

The danger of hypocrisy

Those who analyze their souls and find nothing to feel guilty for really should be worried because none of us is without faults and flaws.

Satan's gateways to the heart

Source : IslamWeb / 17 May 2014

The heart is like a fort and Satan the advancing enemy, who is intent on infiltrating and occupying it. Hence, only by guarding the gates, entrances and vulnerable positions, will it be impenetrable. Yet, a person who is unacquainted with the structure of the fortress, particularly its access points, cannot adequately defend it. By the same token, the obligation of guarding the heart from the whispers of Satan cannot be fulfilled and he cannot be warded off, unless a person knows the gates to the heart that Satan may take.

Arrogance: A Barrier To Paradise

Source : Agencies / 15 May 2014

Those who grow arrogant in this world will be repaid in Hell with a humiliating punishment. There, apart from the agonizing physical pain, they will meet an end that will humble them spiritually. In return for having been unjustly arrogant on earth, they will receive eternal degradation in Hell:

Sincere love towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Source : Islam.ru / 14 May 2014

As Muslims we know that our faith will be incomplete without sincere love towards our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). How can we understand if our love sincere or not?

Our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us about the signs of true love for him. One of them is to love the Prophet more than ourselves.

The truth of the life of this world

Source : TheIstsUnited / 12 May 2014

"Every soul will taste death. Then you will be returned to Us." (Qur'an, 19: 57)

Yet most of the time man forgets all this, and imagines that he is eternal. He lives in pride and arrogance.

The knowledge of self

Source : Sunnah.org / 07 May 2014

Thou shouldest also discover why thou hast been created with these two animal instincts: whether that they should subdue and lead thee captive, or whether that thou shouldest subdue them, and, in thy upward progress, make of one thy steed and of the other thy weapon.

Secrets of the Soul

Source : Sacred-Texts / 05 May 2014

A person in whom the desire for this knowledge has disappeared is like one who has lost his appetite for healthy food, or who prefers feeding on clay to eating bread. All bodily appetites perish at death with the organs they use, but the soul dies not, and retains whatever knowledge of God it possesses; nay, increases it.
