Pogba says becoming Muslim made him ‘better person’

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba says being Muslim has helped him find inner peace and become a better person.

The French footballer hasn't always been religious. In an interview with British daily The Times' Life Times, Pogba said his mother practiced Islam but didn't raise her three sons as Muslims.

Pogba became interested in Islam as an adult through his friends, and after going through hard times, he decided to commit himself to practicing Islam. Last month he was pictured performing umrah pilgrimage to Mecca.

She made the announcement on Twitter, saying her conversion was “the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian’s journey. All scripture study leads to Islam. Which makes all other scriptures redundant.”

Inspired and touched by Abu Dhabi tourism police's values of tolerance and civilised approach, a Dutch female tourist has converted to Islam.
 
The Tourism Section in Investigation Directorate, after liaising with the competent entities, hosted Christina Dafano, who deeply expressed her happiness to embrace Islam, according to a statement issued by Abu Dhabi Police on Saturday.
 
After reciting the Shahada, Dafano changed her name Noura.

Before he came to Turkey, he used to study at a university in Benin, where he met a group of Muslims for the first time when he was 17.

Haj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims declare that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger; they pray, they fast, they pay obligatory charity, and they go for Haj. Haj is a pilgrimage to the city of Makah in Saudi Arabia. At the mosque and in the surrounding area, Muslims perform prayers and rituals. Haj is an obligatory act performed once in a lifetime by all mentally, physically and financially able Muslims.
