The Story of Moses and The Guide

Source : Islamicity.com / 4 Mar 2013

One day, Moses delivered such an impressive sermon that all who heard it were deeply moved. Someone in the congregation asked: "O Messenger of Allah, is there another man on earth more learned than you?" Moses replied: "No!", believing so, as Allah had given him the power of miracles and honored him with the Torah.

However, Allah revealed to Moses that no man could know all there is to know, nor would one messenger alone be the custodian of all knowledge. There would always be another who knew what others did not. Moses asked Allah: "O Allah, where is this man? I would like to meet him and learn from him." He also asked for a sign to this person's identity.

Sympathy and self sacrifice

Source : Inter-Islam.org / 1 Mar 2013

The Sahaba, as a class of people, attained such high qualities that today’s weak society find it difficult to emulate them completely. We would be fortunate if we really attain even a partial resemblance to their character.

Some of the qualities are distinctly their mark. Sympathy and self sacrifice is one of them.

A Sahabi came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and complained of hunger and distress. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) didn’t have any food. He then asked the sahabas that who will take this sahabi as their guest on behalf of me.

New Muslims in Spain

Source : Arab news / 8 Feb 2013

Islam in Spain has a remarkable presence. Muslims in Europe in general and Spain in particular have always been categorized as immigrants. In recent years, however, there is a notable number of native Spaniards who have converted to Islam in Spain and they are recognized publicly as new Muslims. This may raise many questions on the nature of the Islamic preaching activities in Spain and the official Islamic presence in the country. Islam has come to be an attractive religion to some Spaniards disregarding the fact that its international media image is not generally a positive one.

Source : IslamOnline / 1 Feb 2013

In the early years of Muhammad’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prophethood there was fierce persecution at the hands of the polytheists of Makkah. The holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the new Muslims suffered terribly from chastisement, ridicule, slander, an unjust boycott and physical torture.
