اَنْ تُؤمِنَ بِاللَّهِ، وَمَلاَئِكَتِهِ، وَكُتُبِهِ، وَرُسُلِهِ، وَبِالْيَوْمِ الَْآخِرِ، وَبالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِِّهِ مِنَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى

The Pillars of Iman are six:

To believe in Allah, the Angels, the Books, the Messengers, the Last Day, the Divine Destiny and that the good and bad of it are all from Allah, the Most High.

Number seven has been mentioned in the stories which were stated in the Quran. In the story of Prophet Nooh (Noah), may Allaah exalt his mention, he asked his people to contemplate on the Creator of the seven heavens. Allaah says (what means):

"See you not how Allaah has created the seven heavens one above another." [Quran 71:15]

The Prophet Muhammad,  sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, received the revelation of the Quran from Jibreel (Gabriel), may Allaah exalt his mention, and conveyed it to people as it was revealed to him from His Lord. He urged his companions, may Allaah be pleased with them, to learn and memorize it.

Greeting a person is charity. Acting justly is charity. Helping a man with his steed is charity. A good word is charity. Every step taken on the way to performing prayers is charity. Removing an obstacle from the road is charity.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: A man never did a good deed but removed a thorny branch from the road; it was either in the tree and someone cut it and threw it on the road, or it was lying in it, he removed it. Allah accepted this good deed of his and brought him into Paradise. (Abu Dawud)

Recently, scientists from St. Andrews University were studying bottlenose dolphins off of the east coast of Scotland when they found that the mammals used signature high-pitched sounds and noises to attract the attention of other dolphins nearby. Using plenty of research as a backdrop, the scientists soon determined that the noises they were hearing were actually dolphins calling to one another by name.

As you probably already know, most of the things we eat and drink are not grown naturally. Have you ever heard of chocolate bars growing on trees? Or perhaps a chicken laying cookies? How about a cow giving Coke? Of course not! All these food items are made by mixing together different things such as water, sugar, milk, flour, eggs, oil, fat, and so on. These many “things” are called ingredients.

As soon as Idrees got home from school, he ran to his grandfather to ask him about something that was on his mind.

"Grandpa,"he said, "I want to ask you something."

"What is it, Idrees?" asked Grandpa Uthman.

"Grandpa, on the bus, a lady was telling her friend how important patience is, and how true patience should be as it is described in the Qur'an. Can you tell me what that means, Grandpa?"

Halal and haram are two words mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. In the Qur’an, Allah has told us Muslims to eat halal food (food that is allowed and good for us). He also told us not to eat haram food (food that is not allowed and is bad for us). Since we are Muslims, we must obey Allah.

Some of the things that are halal or that we can eat and drink are fresh milk, fish, fruits,vegetables, nuts, and honey. We are also allowed to eat beef (cow meat), lamb/mutton, chicken, and many other animals, but they must first be prepared in a special way that Allah has told us.

Rahman is a special intensive form derived from Raham (mercy). In human beings, raham means ‘tenderness of the heart.’ Yet when attributed to Allah, it means granting blessings and warding off evil, through grace and beneficence.

For this reason, Rahman like the name Allah is not applied to any, but God. Allah’s mercy in this world is general, given to the believer and the unbeliever. He provides for them and gives them health and what they ask for. “We bestow Our mercy on whoever We will and shall never deny the righteous their reward.” (12:56)
