Prophet Muhammad

Seek Forgiveness for the Believing Men and Women

Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz (may Allah protect him and benefit us by him) marvels at Allah’s command to His Beloved to seek forgiveness for the believing men and women and the Beloved’s request for us to do the same.

Isra' and Mi'raj - the miraculous journey and ascension of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

One of the sacred and close to the heart of every Muslim believer day, the date of the Holy Night Isra' and Mi`raj this year falls on the night of 13 to 14 April.

Isra is a night journey of the Prophet ﷺ from the al-Haram Meccan mosque to the al-Aqsa mosque in al-Quds (Jerusalem). Mi'raj is the ascension of the Messenger ﷺ to heaven and the attainment of that place, of which there is no knowledge either of angels, or of jinns, or men.

Prophet Muhammad's treatment to non-Muslims: The birth of religious plurality

Source : Dar-Alifta / 20 Sep 2014

The general policy in Islam is to guarantee full rights to non- Muslim populations and therefore people subscribing to other religions were granted full civic rights by the virtue of the Quran and through the application of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)(peace be upon him). Non- Muslim populations living within Muslim communities were granted peaceful and prosperous life through guaranteeing security for both their lives and properties and were given the appellation of "ahl al-Dhimma" which denotes those people with whom Muslims have an agreement or the responsibility of their personal safety and security of their property are undertaken by the Muslim state.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "(The superstructure of) Islam is based on five (pillars), testifying the fact that La ilaha illallah wa anna Muhammad-ar-Rasul-ullah [there is no true god except Allah, and Muhammad ((ﷺ)) is the Messenger of Allah], establishing As- Salat (the prayers), paying Zakat (poor due), the pilgrimage to the House [of Allah (Ka'bah)], and the Saum (fasting) during the month of Ramadan." The public call of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Source : Islamic Knowledge / 05 Sep 2014

After three years of Prophethood, fearlessly calling to and teaching people Islam with skilled tactics, God revealed to Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to make a public call. God revealed ayah 214 of ash-Shu^ara’ in which God ordered Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)to warn his relatives, calling them to Islam.

Things that made the Prophet (pbuh) angry

Source : IslamAwareness / 01 Sep 2014

We mentioned earlier that the Prophet (peace be upon him) never got angry for anything personal. No matter what unbelievers said about him, leveling any false accusations against him, he would always control himself, showing no sign of overreaction. Indeed, he kept his cool in all situations. However, if some violation of the limits God has ordered to be observed, the Prophet (peace be upon him) could be very angry, and his anger showed in his face.

Helping your Companions

Source : Hadith a day / 25 Aug 2014

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (radi Allahu anhu) reported: While we were travelling with the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), a rider came and began to stare on the right and on the left. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), said, “He who has an extra mount should hand it over to one who has none, and he who possesses surplus provision, should give it to him who is without provision.” He named various kinds of possessions until we began to think (realise) that none of us had any right to anything surplus.

[Sahih Muslim]
