Muslim women of Nizhnekamsk had an intellectual battle

Nizhnekamsk, December 24, 2019 

Educational game “What? Where? When?”  was held in the Central Cathedral Mosque of Nizhnekamsk. The intellectual battle was attended by more than twenty Muslim women, who were divided into three teams, reports “NTR 24”.

The connoisseurs were to answer mainly the religious questions. The contestants guessed the name of the Muslim tax from the harvest or the name of the man who first converted to Islam.


Meeting of Muftis of the North Caucasus

A meeting of members of the Coordination Center for Muslims of the North Caucasus (CCMNC) was held in Makhachkala within the walls of the Muftiyat of Dagestan. The event was attended by Muftis and religious figures from all over the North Caucasus Federal District.

Welcoming the participants the Mufti of Dagestan noted that he was glad to see such honored guests in his homeland and emphasized that one of the directions in the work of religious figures should be to strengthen unity and cohesion in society.


Dagestan Muftiyat held an annual general meeting of religious leaders

An expanded Annual General Meeting of religious leaders was held in Makhachkala's historical park “Russia - My History”, dedicated to summing up the activities of the Dagestani Muftiyat for 2019. It was attended by scholars-theologians from all over the Republic, as well as political and public figures. The event began with recitation of the verses of the holy Quran by the renown Arab scholar Sha`ban Ma'mun Ar-Rawi.


Russian Tula provided humanitarian aid to the people of Syria

The Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties transferred charitable assistance from the government of the Tula region to the residents of Syria, RIA Novosti reports. According to the head of the centre Yury Borenkov, 400 kg of honey and 400 packages of gingerbread were given out in the village of Baamrail in the Tartus province.


Dagestan Mufti met with Government representatives

Mufti of Dagestan, Sheikh Ahmad Afandi met with representatives of Dagestan in the regions of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was also attended by Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs Enrik Musulimov and chairman of the Interagency Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan Magomed Alikhanov.


Dagestan youth are the winners of the Islamic intellectual game

Mufti of Dagestan Republic sheikh Ahmad Afandi Abdulaev received in his office the winners of the inter-regional intellectual game “Brain Ring: Connoisseurs of Islam”, held in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

The spiritual leader congratulated them on their victory, and said parting words as well. Ahmad Afandi noted that he was very glad that the Dagestanis were winning in such competitions.


A Muslim rehabilitation center is to open in Moscow region

Muslim Religious Administration of Moscow Region initiated a project aimed at creation of a Center for medical and social rehabilitation for elderly and single Muslim citizens in Krasnozavodsk near Moscow.

The rehabilitation center will include a clinic, a hospital, physical therapy rooms, a gym, and a swimming pool. All these facilities is a part of a big project united by the mosque.


Scientific conference on “Islam and medicine” is to be held in Kazan

The 1st scientific and practical conference “Islam and medicine” is to be held on December 21 in Kazan, Tatarstan. The event is organized by the Association of Muslim Doctors and Nursing Staff of the Russian Federation.

At the conference, specialists in medicine will discuss the most problematic diseases of our time, such as alcoholism and drug addiction from the point of view of Islam, as well as consider the topic of abortion, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, etc.

Muslims in Kazan build a madrassa

A madrassa for 100 students will soon appear near the Gailya mosque in Kazan, Tatar-inform reports referring to the imam-khatib of the Gailya mosque, Rustam Hazrat Khayrullin.

According to the imam, more than 400 students in 40 groups receive primary Islamic education currently in the Gailya mosque. The youngest student is only 3 years old, and the oldest one is over 90.
