Abu Dhabi Louvre hosts Saudi ‘Routes of Arabia’ expo

One of the most renowned Saudi exhibitions internationally will open on Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi Louvre Museum.
 
The exhibition “Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia” will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi in partnership with the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage. It will continue until Feb. 16, 2019.
 
The exhibition has been highlighting the cultural heritage of the Kingdom all over the world since it has been successfully hosted by 14 international museums throughout Europe, the US and Asia, with the US holding the distinction of hosting the prestigious exhibition a record five times.
 
It explores the rich history of the Arabian Peninsula through archaeological and cultural artifacts, including a selection of rare pieces from the United Arab Emirates.
 
The Saudi Press Agency said the opening of the exhibition will be covered and broadcasted by several international and regional media outlets, along with Saudi and Emirati media.
 
The 15th edition of “Routes of Arabia” in Abu Dhabi will be its biggest.
 
In addition to the exhibition’s 466 artifacts, some pieces have been added, reflecting a part of the lifestyles in shared cultural heritage in the Arabian Peninsula.
