UAE praised contribution of Russian Muslims to strengthening tolerance

Dubai, November 16, 2019

The work of the Russian muftiyats in education and charity spheres that leads to the strengthening of inter-religious and interethnic harmony in the country aroused particular interest among the participants of the World Summit of Tolerance from 105 countries of the world, the mufti of Moscow Ildar Alyautdinov told RIA Novosti.

The two-day World Tolerance Summit ended in Dubai last weekend. It was organized by the International Institute of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The event was timed to the World Tolerance Day, which, by UNESCO decision in 1995, is celebrated on November 16th.

“The charitable foundation “Zakat” headed by CEO Rifat Izmailov was presented at special exhibition during the summit. The exposition demonstrated the active work of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow and the “Dar” cultural center. Participants and guests of the summit showed a keen interest in the work of coreligionists from Russia. We had also numerous meetings over these days, and signed agreements with leading experts from different countries, "said Mufti Alyautdinov.
