Tatarstan mufti ran 10 kilometers at Kazan Marathon

The head of Tatarstan Muslims, mufti Kamil Hazrat Samigullin, took part in the VI Kazan Marathon. Despite the injury, he ran a distance of 10 km. At the finish line, the mufti was met by representatives of Muslim youth and imams.

It is noteworthy that the staff of Muslim Religious Administration of Tatarstan ran the distance together with the mufti. They were the employees of the muftiyat, the Khuzur publishing house, the Halal Standard Committee, and the imams of local Muslim communities as well. They participated in different distances of the marathon to mark the end of the 2020 season. The Kazan Marathon track ran next to Lake Kaban, Millennium Park and the Kazan Kremlin.

Kamil Khazrat Samigullin is a regular participant of mass races. In particular in August he became an honorary participant in amateur race at the Russian Triathlon Championship “Almetyevsk Triathlon – TIMERMAN” and in the synchronized distance race “ZaBeg.RF” in Kazan. In 2018 and 2019, Kamil Hazrat ran a distance of 21.1 km as part of the Kazan National Half Marathon. In the spring of 2019, at the Kazan Marathon, he covered a distance of 42 km. In the same year, Kamil Hazrat took part in the “Night Kazan – 2019” race as well.
