Some 1800 Muslims to pefrom Hajj from Tatarstan this year

The first group of pilgrims from Tatarstan will go to Hajj on August 4, Ildus Sabitov, Deputy Director for Hajj Affairs of the Spiritual Office of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, informed Tatar-Inform.
The Hajj quota for Russia this year was set for 20.5 thousand pilgrims. For the pilgrims of Tatarstan this year 1,800 places are allocated. As noted by Sabitov, the quota is completely filled.
"The pilgrims start flying out on 4 August. There will be several groups with a flight from Kazan and Moscow. Groups of pilgrims will fly out every day until August 15," he said.
According to him, last year the Hajj was performed by 1,700 Tatars. In 2018, the Spiritual Office of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan raised prices for Hajj programs by 10-15 thousand rubles.
Earlier it was reported that the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Tatarstan warned those going to go to the hajj of the residents of the republic about the infections that they might face in Saudi Arabia.
