Russian Interreligious Council press for morality lessons at schools

The Interreligious Council of Russia proposes to introduce lessons on morality in schools, as well as in universities. The statement was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Supreme Mufti of Russia, Chairman of the Central Muslim Religious Administration of the Russian Federation Talgat Tajuddin.

During the joint meeting of the Interreligious Council of Russia and the Christian Interfaith Advisory Committee that took place in Moscow earlier, mufti Tajuddin said that schoolchildren and students should receive moral lessons from representatives of traditional faiths of the country.

In particular, he explained that these lessons are to teach children how to deal with parents, peers, as well as the world around them.
