Mufti Talgat Tajuddin received award from Vladimir Putin

Moscow, November 22, 2019

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded state awards for outstanding achievements in the field of culture, medicine, sports and production on Thursday in the Catherine’s Hall of the Kremlin.

The head of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Talgat Tajuddin, Metropolitan of Kaluga and Borovsky Clement and former Metropolitan of Oryol and Bolkhovsky Anthony received the state titles as well. All of them were awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" (III degree) for "a great contribution to the development of spiritual culture, strengthening of interethnic and inter-confessional peace and harmony in society."  

“Spirituality and morality are the basis of state life. Our colleague, Damir Yusupov, his brother George, they are our pupils. Before becoming a pilot, Damir worked as imam and taught the Koran and performed Friday prayers in the mosque.” the Supreme Mufti noted.
