Kemerovo Muslims celebrated the anniversary of As-Salam newspaper

Festival of Nasheeds dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the All-Russian spiritual and educational newspaper As-Salam was held in Kemerovo on February 18. It was organized by the public organization Kemerovo Regional Centre for Culture and Traditions of Dagestan Peoples “Vatan” (“Homeland”).

The event was visited by honoured guests - the chairman of the Mufti of the Republic of Dagestan, Shamil Alikhanov, the head of the Centre for Culture and Traditions of the Peoples of Dagestan in Kemerovo Region Gaydar Magomedov, the director of the organizational department of the VATAN organization Alavdin Alikadirov, the head of the sales department of As-Salam newspaper Ruslan Magomedov and others.

The festival was opened with a Nasheed. Next the honoured guests addressed to the audience speaking about the value of such events and expressing their gratitude to the organizers. In particular, Gaidar Magomedov noted the high level of work of the As-Salam newspaper and thanked all those involved in its publication and distribution. In his turn Shamil Alikhanov on behalf of Dagestan Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Afandi, conveyed greetings and warm wishes to the participants.

The program of the festive evening included videos telling about the culture and traditions of the peoples of Dagestan, Nasheeds performed by the famous Russian group “Naslediye” and Sultan Tramov, as well as organized prize competitions among the subscribers of “Assalam” newspaper.
