Interfaith futsal tournament was held in the Urals

February 25, the first interfaith mini-soccer tournament was held in Polevskoy city of Sverdlovsk region. It was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the feat of soldiers of the sixth paratrooper company of the 104th guards paratrooper regiment of the 76th guards airborne division.

The initiative to hold a sport competition belongs to the Ural Association “Center for Ethno-Confessional Studies, Prevention of Extremism and Counteraction to the Ideology of Terrorism.” The tournament was co-organized by the Department of Internal Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Regional Public Chamber, the administration of the Polevsky city district, the Yekaterinburg diocese and the Regional Spiritual Administration of Muslims.

The competition gathered a dozen players, among whom there were parishioners of the Orthodox churches of the Deanery of the Polevsky district of the Yekaterinburg diocese and two mosques of Polevsky, as well as the representatives of the city administration and Western Administrative District, employees of the Department of Internal Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, Association President, member of the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region Sergey Pavlenko. The football match took place in the gym of the Seversky Tube Plant physical-sports complex.
