Crimean mosques open for prayers

Muslims in Crimea allowed holding congregational prayers using personal mats for prayers, masks, disinfectants, as well as maintaining social distance, the press office of the Muslim Religious Administration of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol announced on Wednesday, June 17.

Muslim clergy of the region urged the local Muslim communities to observe sanitary and epidemiological rules while holding the rites with large number of people: ​​visiting mosques and other places of worship, as well as administrative Muslim religious and educational institutions and organizations is allowed only with the use of a medical mask and disinfectants.

Moreover, it is necessary to maintain a social distance of 1.5 meters between worshipers in a mosque and other places of worship, as well as to have an individual prayer rug. The believers were recommended to refrain from shaking hands and hugs, while the imams are advised to perform the collective prayers as briefly as possible, and reduce the time of funeral rites as well.
